Im so sorry I haven’t posted for a long time, I always convince myself that people won’t read about my boring life and aren’t interested in reading what I have to say. When in reality I write these blogs for me to look back on rather than for people to read ( I love anyone that reads my ramblings and gets behind me of course!)
I thought I would do a little lockdown update because this is honestly one of the most surreal things I have ever lived through! I haven’t had to battle COVID-19 (yet) I consider myself very lucky that everyone close to me have all been ok so far! And for once in my life (all conditions considered) my doctor does not believe that COVID-19 will pose any more of an issue to me as a “normal” healthy person!
I’m not going to lie I struggled mentally at the start of lockdown, and I feel like everyone struggled to come to terms with it regardless of whether they have mental health problems or not. It was weird being told I couldn’t see my friends, go to work and have that part of my sanity ripped away from me! I’m honestly surprised I’m not rocking in a corner crying 24/7 (honestly how I saw this whole thing going)!
I haven’t been to work since 17th March and I am now furloughed so the #furloughdiaries are out in full force across my insta and other social media’s! I’m using this time to let my body relax, after all it’s not often you will be able to have 4/5 months off work at one time!
My time has mostly been filled as I’m sure most of you will guess with lots of reading, I have read 34 books since the 21st March and am currently on book 55 of the year (I would like to reach 75) I’m thinking I may have to increase my challenge as 75 seems fairly easy under the current circumstances! I’m currently reading the Throne of Glass series, and have also read the ACOTAR series last month (currently OBSESSED with Sarah J Maas).
Health wise I’m doing okay, I’ve got a lump in my arm pit that antibiotics haven’t taken away so I have to get that checked along with my boob on Thursday (it’s all precautionary I’m not overly worried as it’s most likely a cyst!) other than that I have the usual aches and pains for a 70 year old trapped in a 23 year olds body!
I am just going to do a shout out to my fab friends and family that have checked in on me during this I couldn’t have coped without them! From the “accidental” family face times that my nan ensures she doesn’t mean to do! To seeing my mum every week for a chat through the window/in the garden!
Also to my wonderful new friends, Becky, Vom and Val we met through insta! Connected on a deep level over an accidental hacking and some dick pics (is there any better way to find some fantastic friends?!).
I hope you are all safe and well! I’d love to know what you’ve all been up to during the lockdown, any new hobbies, new friends made online? Anything!!
Signing off for now,
