Living your life to the full

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well enjoying your week…it’s finally the weekend woooo! I am still battling with my cough which seemed to have disappeared at the start of the week but is now back with a vengeance.

This weeks blog is about living your life to the full and not letting anyone or anything stop you from achieving your dreams and goals, I know that all of our conditions effect us in different ways however you should never let your conditions define you, you are not your illness you are your own person with your own dreams and dramas and life niggles.

In 5 days time I get to go and meet someone that has helped me through many times in my life through their music, I am going to meet Tom Fletcher in Milton Keynes at his book signing…I am honestly beside myself and it means so much to me, I shall make sure I put some pictures on my page.

It is so important to me that yes although I do struggle on a daily basis with my many conditions that I do still get the most out of my life and enjoy all of the little things, I ensure to do whatever I can on days out to make it easier for myself to enjoy the days as much as I can. From the small things to using my blue badge so that I don’t have to walk to far to the shops all they way to booking special tickets to the foo fighters so that I know Ross can enjoy his Christmas present and not have to worry too much about me and how I am coping in the stadium.

I know that I am stubborn and I do overdo things a lot of the time and sometimes my stubbornness gets in the way of things sometimes, like If someone offers me a wheelchair I will quite often say no because I just want to be able to be a “normal” 20 year old but hey that isn’t going to be happening any time soon and I really need to get over myself and it is something that I am working on and I have come a long way since all of this first started.

I couldn’t have ever come to this point in my life without the wonderful people I have, my whole family are so supportive and wonderful they always try their hardest to accommodate me with anything they plan. Ross is just the best, he alway puts me first he spoils me and just makes sure I’m not over doing things. If you surround yourself with fabulous people your life will take a massive turn, since I have moved jobs I have taken Leanne with me and have met the fabulous Jenna and formed a friendship that will last a life time.

Other people that deserve special mention Charles at work keeps me grounded and positive…always calling me a little shit as I will always go out of my way to be as irritating as I can :)) Also Ashleigh who I had the privilege to meet through Ross and she is honestly amazing so grounded and funny and just one of the nicest people i have met, she came into my life at one of the darkest times I was having with my mental health and I will always have her to thank for helping me through this!

To all of the people mentioned above I want to say thank you for keeping my head above water and for pushing me to still be the best version of myself. For pushing to continue to live the life I love, next year we have so much booked already and I am so excited to share it all with you Alex horne and the Horne section and Brighton in Feb, joe Lycett and another comedian in March, Ed Sheerhan and the Foo fighters now booked in June and then Edinburgh fringe in August

I am going to sign off for now as I want to shove my nose into a book

Signing off for now, (me loving life below with my new piercing)

Scarlett X
